While she napped,
(and S did a little quiet time) I tried making this top I’ve been thinking about. I have a couple of changes I’d like to make but overall quite please with it (and even more pleased I was able to make it while she napped).
[sorry- pictures taken while both kids were running wild around the house]
weekend

looks like we’ll be doing a lot more swimming this summer-
today:
-we built a fort,
-we raided the garden and picked snap peas,
and a carrot (it was small,
but yummy)
-we also wrote secret messages
(this is all pre-nap folks!)
gotta love summer

a couple of drawings of me holding a baby doll and a shoe,
and three strawberries picked this morning.
Have a good weekend.

smocks. I changed the width of the binding on these which made it easier to sew around the armholes. I also think it has a neater more finished look (the pink/red one has the wider binding)
swimming 3/10
tomorrow. maybe.
swimming 2/10
M. did not get her shoulder wet.
M. did go one step lower into the water (for 20 sec.) + let the teacher hold her while picking out a toy + held on to the teacher for dear life while enduring one round of ring-around-the-rosie.
we’ll work on the shoulder tomorrow.
Thank you H&M,
for M’s new favorite accessory.
(M. told me when to take the picture for each of these shots)
swimming 1/10
-M. got the lower half of her body wet. Apparently she’s all done with swimming classes.
-post swim was pretty great though (Mom’s favorite part too) Very important swim bag sewn last night.
-this guy loved it.
M. plans to get one shoulder wet tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Have a happy + healthy weekend-

Hawaiian day.
I wonder which Hawaii we’ll visit this year?
M. was sick yesterday and missed out on hat day.
Fortunately she was able to get in some serious hat time today.
Thursday
Crazy hat/hair day.
Wednesday
Today’s crazy day theme was…..
sports day?
(S. was not impressed with what I put together and quickly grabbed my headband to add to his outfit),
M. was as usual a very excited participant.
Part B-
Part B is a double layer of blackout material (the outer curtain is lined too) that snaps together using magnets.
(let me add that our kids get up around 6:30)

Tuesday
Today was pajama day at preschool (yup, it’s going to be a crazy week),
so we (the kids) stayed in our pajamas all day,
M. also took pajama day very seriously, right down to the slippers (btw: the feet on these pajamas were cut off so that M. could wear her slippers around the house and to bed, everyday),
and bedhead at the dinner table-
I also managed to squeeze in some...
Monday
The Super Rescue Team was called the park today (and to look at some ants on the driveway),
oh no, what is that potty-training super hero doing?
phew-
-inside out + backwards day at preschool -
bye.
Sunday
-and someone is very excited about his new and improved underwater skills-
New
We made our kids look at rugs for two hours today. It was worth it.
Vintage bedspread+
potty training child + new sofa (with hard to wash cushions) = new removable and washable covers [print selected with S. in mind]

Over here-
S is for spaceship,
I is for iPad (in the spaceship),
and L is for love.
Lately,
M started this,
which led to this,
(see: freshly painted floor + walls and semi-organized shelves),
so that all this would be easier.
Oh- and those tomato plants?,
doing great.

Car ride.
a couple of iPhone photos.
yes, still looking for the camera battery.
iPad case.
After our recent move a number of things were misplaced. Some sewing items and my camera battery were unfortunately among them. Instead of sewing I’ve been digging through boxes, hoping.
Thanks to S. for letting me use his camera and for not not saying anything about my missing battery.
Easter.
Along with the usual chocolate bunnies, the kids received pajama bags to hold their PJs neatly on their beds. We’ll see.
for S.

Lately,
we have been flying around,
looking for numbers in the neighborhood,
and planting seeds.
All the way from Japan
a box of goodies arrived from our sweet auntie A. and her pal Y. It turned the week of sickness that we’d been having into a week of fun (and chocolate). Thanks guys.
